Singapore struck early, as the hard hitting Hemin Desai was back in the pavilion quite early but left handed Vaibhav Watgoankar and Deep Trivedi played sensibly well by rotating the strike and punishing the loose deliveries to the fence. The strongly built Vaibhav excelled in his drivers and rocked back to cut the short pitched deliveries to the fence. Vaibhav struck a polished 60 runs and Deep Trivedi scored 45 runs. It was Adnan Ilyas, the middle order batsman who mastered the Singapore bowlers by hitting a quick fire 52 runs. Saad Januja & Dharmichand Mulewa bowled well for Singapore. Awal Khan was rightly declared man of the match for his bowling performance.
